Cups in Fondren (2757 Old Canton Rd.) - This is our Flagship coffeehouse. It is the most cosmopolitan of our stores, attracting a truly diverse crowd. Artists, doctors, lawyers, students and international visitors congregate here to enjoy their favorite coffee or tea, view the art or listen to live music. Our early birds (we open at 6am weekdays) come for breakfast pastries and freshly brewed coffee. This location boasts indoor and "al fresco" seating. This is where Belhaven, Fondren and Woodland Hills meet.

Greetings. I've been working at Cups for one year now--the amount of time I've been in the coffee biz. I love working for Cups in Fondren because this job has taught me to interact with humans. Also, we serve free espresso every Friday. Sorry, you probably think you didn't hear me right. FREE ESPRESSO EVERY FRIDAY! This is the coolest thing I've ever heard of any coffee shop doing, and our espresso is the best thing I've ever tasted. In conclusion, I enjoy working with excellent people who like coffee, and I like making drinks for excellent people who like coffee, and my employment provides me with both. Long live Cups.

not your average joe

I've been a loyal cutstomer of Cups since moving to Jackson a few years ago from the Delta. Immediately, I was drawn to the Fondren location because of it's premium coffee, friendly employees, and eclectic atmosphere. Our store is a great place to get your coffee fix, stop in on a 1st date, study, or just hang out and enjoy some good friends and drinks. The other baristas laugh at me when I am asked to recommend my favorite drink...yes, real men do drink blondies!

The New Guy

HI Cupsters!!! Well, I am the new guy, and I have to say that not only is the coffee ballin...so is the staff!!!! I'm loving it here and even though my schedule only allows me to work the night shift on weekdays (which most people hate) I actually find it refreshing. After finally being able to make drinks without second guessing myself, it's a whole lot of fun and allows my brain to rest from a long day of school, not to mention the regulars are so nice to talk to. I even had to work the night before Halloween...blah...but I had fun with it and went out as a "barista who just got off work and is ready to party". YAY! I won the award for smelling the best (I think the coffee that day was creme brulee...yumm). Well, that's all folks!

I just typed a glowing rendition of my feelings about Cups in Fondren, being a barista in general, and everything. As I clicked "Submit" the page timed out and all my heart and soul was lost to the interweb. I will be brief in my reiterating because of my frustration of very recent events.
Cups has given what I consider a home to be a barista. The smaller, close-knit feeling that this company has is a terrific environment to work. I enjoy having faces and personalities to put with even the people who don't work in the same store as I do. While many will scoff at the term "career barista" and think that I do this job beacause it is all I could get (true story), I enjoy making a living as a barista. This is what I enjoy other than making music, and because of Cups I have the freedom to do both.

In July of 2010 I began my journey with the company of Cups once again. Although many things have changed, Cups is still the friendly, warm, and inviting company it has always been. I live for the moment when a customer smiles with satisfaction as they sip their stellar beverage for the first time. My co-workers have been amazing, and as always, my insirational manager keeps us in tip-top condition to better serve our customers.

I work at the Cups in Fondren. This is by far the best job I have ever had. I look forward to going to work every day, because it doesn't feel like a job. My fellow baristas are talented and wonderful people, my manager is amazing, and my customers feel like family. Working for Cups has been one of the best experiences of my life so far.

We've met already, but my name is Eamonn Cottrell. I love the fact that working for Cups has allowed me to meet myriad people from all sorts of walks of life over the past seven years. Through the tedious medium of drink preparation, I've started and been able to cultivate countless friendships I would otherwise never have discovered.
